Title: Continuous Rotation 9-Gram Servos
Post by: erco on October 11, 2015, 07:54:12 PM
I had high hopes for Feetech's CR 9-Gram servo, but it pales in comparison to a CR-modified HXT900.

Thanks for this, I have debated whether to convert servos or buy factory CR ones. Looks like your conversion was the clear winner here. Do you have a specific way of converting yours that you could share? I have seen tutorials online but have yet to bite the bullet and give it a go.

These FeeTech units are the first and only premade 9g CR servos I've seen, sadly. WRT modding the HXT900s, I made 2 videos about that at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfmM3cuihJI  and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pxRhxBPSUM

I just modified a second HXT900 and was fairly amazed how well matched they were, especially since there was no pot to null. Each pot was replaced by a pair of 100K fixed resistors.
