it's lukeyes
« on: September 25, 2015, 01:45:03 PM »
Hey everyone,

Just introducing myself, some of you may know me already.

My name is Luke.  I've been building robots since I was little, taking apart my toys and taping them back together.  Got a couple LEGO Mindstorms kits while I was in college, even donated them to the local robotics club when I left.

But I started building robots in earnest after entering the video game industry.  My previous hobby, building indie games, became a legal grey area (a lot of companies want to claim ownership even if you build them in your spare time).  So I switched to building robots.

My latest robot, isn't really a "true" robot.  I call it an Animatronic ROV.  It's a 5' tall robot-looking puppet that drives around using a wheelchair platform.  The model name is RT, and I'm now up to RT-02.  Or "Artie" for short.

Glad to be a part of this new community.  Let's build robots!
