Cool! Some numbers and it looks easy to cover costs for now.  It would be interesting to know what it cost Frits to run LMR in the end. I have a feeling this place could get at least as big because we have the most active contributors here.

I'm also good for any kind of financial support. I don't mind giving a bit for the good of this great community !

A thought that hit me in my sleep or while I was trying to sleep. I am a member of an organization that among other fund raising efforts has an auction every now and again. What if we auction off moderator status? Maybe one or two each to each of the 4 top level sections.
I would suggest that the mod should not be able to delete posts until someone shoots them a message. And, disable the mods from being able to delete their messages, if possible. This would make for some kind of paper trail rather than revenge or bashing that might occur. I was going to instead suggest a sole forum thread to cover spam posts, but, I would rather not clutter things. Also, I wonder if it is possible to disable external links for "fresh meat"? Maybe a week before you can post external hard links?
If a mod leaves us for some reason, they can be replaced until the end of their term without having to pay to mod.

I admit some of this is rather disjointed. I thought, if I at least got it typed, people could offer their input on it.

Another possible issue which might influence bandwidth and costs:

"How about China? Japan? Korea? Chinese search engines such as Baidu, SoGou and Youdao will merrily spider your sites to oblivion if you let them. In Japan it’s Goo, and in South Korea it’s Naver that can mutate into performance torpedoes once they’ve started to fancy your website."
https://searchenginewatch.com/sew/news/2067357/bye-bye-crawler-blocking-parasites ]

"Entry processes are basically the number of users that the site can serve data to simultaneously."
I do not know how far the spiders fill this up.

I just wondered what this "user" "sogou" is...

Has there been an issue with server performance?

I seriously doubt that we're in danger of getting crawled to a point that users notice a lag.

I cannot say, since I am not always online.
Can the resource usage of spiders be measured to get a picture what the spiders spend in terms of resources?
In principle spiders are ok, since they may draw other people to this forum (donators?).

If there's a particular user (Sogou) you want to background, you should be able to run a whois on them.  Admin has posting IP addresses, right?

If Yahmez is getting around here: is funding of this site still ok?
There was a short outage some days ago and I was wondering...

No, all's good on the funding front. We have a surplus.
