Are these cheap mills good ones?
1st project: Dagu 5 Rover + Dagu - 4 Channel DC Motor + Red Back Spider robot controller + Raspberry B+

no there cheap, but least you have fun learning grbl with it, its an open source project
 snatch & cobbled together.
   will you endup swapping  spindles for sure which is almost half the price for $100 to step up, you could build a better starting with 10 mm rods "12 be rock solid". regardless of distance we know because TH tried 8 mm bars

 thou i like/prefer this one

not a bad looking circuit
