all metal hotend
« on: July 21, 2017, 10:57:22 AM »
came across this bargain for a volcano clone, at that price its worth it just for the nozzles .2 to 1.2 thats a lot of experimenting  but if the .2 works you got a fine lego block. to be honest between the v6 and the volcano clones the volcano prints better.... i let you know in a month

Hmm the volcano prints better then the V6? Care to elaborate?
You know I'm very happy with my genuine E3D V6, has never failed me. Never had a blocked heatbreak or nozzle.

"genuine E3D V6, has never failed me".
and it never will I suspect... In the world of clones the .4 nozzle given me a smoother cleaner finish with top surface  " think in part because of the more flat on the nozzle than a v6.
you mention jams!!! in the heatbreak  >:D with the volcano it come with those dreaded all metal heatbreak  apart from the end into the heater block there a small piece of teflon, but these heatbreaks jam all time unless you  do a DIY polish job thou with the volcano just aint a problem unlike with the v6 counterpart block. " they worked fine on both I have. "now with a range of nozzles from .25 to 1.2 a bonus in the clone world.

"But you know bajdi we shouldn't go comparing clones to genuine only upset some folks!  "quality control doesn't exist either you could make up a nice looking hotend by chance, thou even the ugly fkers still work.. nice hotend linked above am in the process of taming, but am diverted  by  print surface... now cave overhaul in progress so sry  for delay in reply bud.
