RR terms
« on: January 21, 2016, 05:03:35 AM »

am not overly fond of these general sterile terms there no mention of a site wide CC licensing no recognition at all for the 3D model section! or our honest impartiality towards reviews. we got a section devoted to advertisement in the sale section " so how can we have no advertisement  in the terms" personal one day we make use of appropriate ads to generate  revenue ,we shouldb't rule  out sponsors either  as we grow.

although i agree with most of the common sense  clauses in it  JUST DONT THINK IT REFLECTS who we are.
inaccurate a stupid one we not professional researchers , we can do our best, but the nature of some post can become outdated hence become inaccurate." what we gonna do remove them?.

where and when did we decide to ban under 13 year olds " its the 10 year old with a PI  that teach us old dogs new tricks". am more shocked at that"  many  a night I've had my kid in front of the screen with me" I find no reason for banning pre teens. "update " I am an old dog loosing his mind I remember  clearly how we came about  excluding the pre-teens, am just split over the idea of it now " but the law is the LAW burn the rascals at the gate!!

Still very long and dry. Do we really have to write all that about laws and all, I mean, you are responsible to the law now matter what we write.

I think we only have to inform there we take more freedom away from people, like
  • Be nice, at least not a jerk
  • This is public internet, don't put secrets here
  • We track you with a cookie, to make site function
  • Obey local and global laws
  • Site owner/administrator might be forced to remove content

I like where mogul's going.

Do we really have to write all that about laws and all, I mean, you are responsible to the law now matter what we write.

If we're going to have rules, then let's build them from the bottom up.  We should think about what's important to us and then present it in as plain and simple a manner as possible.

Food for thought:  Maybe we could better approach this by thinking about ourselves as a club or organization and not a web service.  In that light we could toss this whole notion of “Terms and Conditions” and replace it with a “Code of Conduct” that describes how members are expected to behave.
