Don Quixote Re-loaded
« on: June 11, 2017, 06:38:12 AM »
Maybe some of you might remember "The Solar Quest"
I have started a long term just for fun project Re-Loading Don Quixote in 3D print Form.

The Original Don is still operational after 8+ years - riding in the sun as windowsill companion.

Basic principle is a worm meeting two gears.

It is not my intention that it will be able to walk - however animation of many parts will be the goal @1 turn of the worm dial.

More to follow as it develop's..

BTW_000 The original video was nuked by Youtube about 3 years ago due to faint soundtrack... and I no longer have the original..
BTW_001 I have printed Dons head and body... however he went AWOL for a picture... scratches head where he went!!!

This Story so far :-

Any STL mods/additions or suggestions appreciated.

This would be a marvelous gift to make for my father. He built lesson-plans around the song "The Impossible Dream" for 5 or 6 years straight when I was a kid.

I think we're all aware that if this project was by anyone other than Chiprobot that I'd have inserted a raunchy "Bareback" joke here.  ;D
