Hello Rebels !

My name is Robert, I'm from Quebec, Canada (french Canadian) and I've always been interested in all things robotics, especially in the field of AI and everything that makes a robot autonomous !

I am currently working at RobotShop as the Technical Data Specialist.

My goal by joining this community is to learn and help others as much as I can.

See ya !

welcome to RR Robert
why man given our two groups history, you think it wise mentioning RS here.

"My goal by joining this community is to learn and help others as much as I can. "
seems like the stable spiel of robotshop surely you can do that at LMR. aint that the reason the #1 penis at RS brought it.

I build bots

In case you are new with RS you might want to read this piece of history: http://hackaday.com/2015/09/25/lets-make-robots-changes-hands-kerfuffle-ensues/

As jinx mentioned, most of us met at LMR before the apocalypse

To be honest I saw a post about this forum on LMR, so I decided to join (I like the name).

I started working here at RS a month ago and I didn't know anything about all of this... until now.

That being said I'll stop mentioning RobotShop from now on (even if I'd like to clarify some things, I'll wait) and hope I'll still be able to share with all of you.

Thanks !

Oooohhh...you had me until the, "even if I'd like to clarify some things".

Don't try and to tell a man with a burnt hand the fire is not hot.  No matter how long you wait.

In my opinion, you are welcome here as a robot builder--nothing more. You can prove that by showing your work.

Welcome Robert! Please don't hesitate to share projects here. Yes, there are some deep wounds regarding LMR/RS so as you have already seen many of us are still quite sensitive about it, even years later. We can be won over by sharing cool projects and keeping references to RS to a minimum.  :)

Thanks Smashley, I understand and will keep references to RS to a minimum and probably never talk about it at all.

Ladvien, I said ''I'd like to'', not ''I will'', but I got the point !

That being said, thanks for letting me in this community !
